The Royal Law and the Slave Law

The Royal Law

The constitutional law, governing the kingdom of God, is known as the Royal Law. The knowledge of this law leads to the knowledge of righteousness and holiness. This is the perfect law, which all those who have been made kings and priests for the worship of God, constantly keep, to avoid blemish and spot in their characters.

Having been cleansed by the precious blood of the Lamb of God, believers become as white as snow. Under this condition of clean life, the believers put on white robes of righteousness and holiness, being the image and likeness of the Father God. Those who have been redeemed to reign with Christ in the kingdom of heaven are graciously made holy and righteous by His blood. They are thus conformed into the spiritual image and likeness of the Son of God – Rom. 8:29. When they bear the likeness of Christ Jesus, they become new persons (2 Cor. 5:17), after they have crucified the evil deeds of the flesh with fire of the Lord’s Holy Spirit. The new life is no longer like the old sinful life of the Adamic nature. The new life of believers is the spiritual life of Christ Jesus:

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; Yet not I, but Christ lives in sin me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” –Gal. 2:20.

The new life of believers is the new life of the indwelling Christ Jesus, who writes His royal law in their hearts, with whom He has made His new covenant –Hebr.8:10.

Dearly beloved, don’t you want Christ to write His royal law in your heart to make you king and priest to God? If yes, please believe in Christ and begin to keep the whole royal law without partiality:

“If ye fulfill the ROYAL LAW according to the scriptures, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well”- James 2:8.

In James 2:10-11, we are informed the the royal law is the Ten Commandments. Everyone should keep it without blemish or spot, because it’s holy, just and good-Rom.7:12. Believers who keep this holy, just and good law are justified in the sight of God, as they are faultless. (Rom. 2:13). Yes, through the keeping of the royal law, Christ is able to keep you from falling, and to present you FAULTLESS before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy- Jude 1:24.

Christians who shall be presented to God the Father should be faultless. It therefore behoves Christians that shall wear the crown of righteousness to be faultless. All unrepentant kings and rulers in this Gentle world are fallible. They judge wrongly. You see, as long as God’s people keep the royal law, they shall be perfect, and excel in righteousness.

**The Slave Law

Now, almost all the world has been put under the carnal law of captivity and slavery. Sin is the transgression of the holy law of God -1 John.3:4. As soon as people transgress the royal law, they come short of the glory of God –Rom. 3:23. In short, our Lord says:

“Whosoever commits SIN is a SERVANT of sin” – John 8:34.

– If anyone that sins is a servant or slave, then all the ministers and their followers who transgress the royal law are all slaves or servants. According to Christ’s interpretation of sin, every sinner or transgressor is a servant or maid-servant! As we all know, no servant enjoys happiness! No servant is free from hard labour! Owing to this, the transgression of the law of God is a curse! Curses are upon all sinners and transgressors – Deuteron.28:15-46. As a result of the transgression of the law, the whole world is under sin and its attendant curse. Sickness and death are caused by disobedience to the royal law, sometimes known as the law of liberty!

**The Law Of Liberty (freedom)

The people who feel that they can no longer bear the burden of transgression, and wish to have rest from it to enjoy freedom, have been taught what to do! They have been instructed to go to Christ and give their heavy load of sins and problems to Him. He is the only person in the world Who is able to carry away the sins of the world (Jn.1:29) and give rest to His humble believers, who repent and confess their sins to Him. Faithful is He to forgive them of their sins and blot them out with his blood. Immediately the Lamb of God takes away the sins and curses of men, He puts them under the law of liberty or freedom, so that the might not fall into the temptations of sin and become slaves again! Oh, yes, the redeemed royal ones can be captured again through disobedience to the law of freedom. Whoever is disobedient to the law of freedom or the royal law of God is an unhappy servant or maid-servant. On the other hand, whoever is obedient to the law of freedom is always free from slavery.

Prisoners in the world are people who have transgressed the law of the state. The sole aim of the law of our GOOD GOD is to offer man freedom, in which he is destined to reign as king over all problems on earth by means of the supernatural power of God, operating in line with his law. For example, as the power of electricity operates on the application of the laws of electricity, so also does God’s power works according to the application of the laws of God. This is true: the moment, the laws of the electricity power are obeyed or applied, power is produced. In the same way, God’s supreme power works to set people in trouble free in accordance with the application of His law. The power of the Holy Ghost is given to those who obey Him – Acts 5:32. The power of Christ is offered to believers who take his instructions or commandments on the application of His laws. the holy Ghost. If sinners could receive the power of the Holy Ghost, it might be of no use to instruct them to REPENT to apply the laws of the power of the Holy Ghost. The great Teacher from heaven says:

“If any man will do his will, he shall know of the DOCTRINE, whether it be of God, or whether I speak Of myself” – Jn.7:17.

God’s will constitute His commandments. For this reason, Christ says that if any person willingly does put God’s powerful commandments into practice, the fellow shall also bear witness that there is NO UNRIGHTEOUSNESS in Him – John.7:18.

Following Christ’s obedience to God’s law, He was able to perform great miracles, signs, and wonders, for which the Jews envied Him. Therefore, they plotted to kill Him because His miracles showed that God was with Him -Acts. 10:38. Eventually, He asked them:

“Did not Moses give you the LAW, and yet none of you keeps the The law? Why go ye about to kill me?” – John.8:19.

This means that, had the Jews applied the principles or laws of the power of God, which were given to them by God, through Moses (Ex. 31:18), they would have been able to do the same miracles which He did. Our Lord said:

“I have done one work [of miracle] and ye all marvel” – John. 7:21.

Here, our dear Lord implies that, by way of the application of the law of God, which was given to the Jews, who did not keep it, He pleased God.(John 8:29; 12:50). Consequently, He did one work of miracle and the Jews were astonished beyond measure. Because of their disobedience to God’s law none of them was able to use God’s power to effect deliverance. This means that the omnipotent power of God hinges on the application of God’s law through faith in Christ our only law giver (James 4:12;1John 3:22).
