Elder Kanok (Enoch) Ofori

A DEDICATED LIFE

Elder 4 netHis messages possess a unique freshness and depth that bring Biblical understanding, truth and salvation to the hungry soul; the working of miracles is an integral part of his ministry. But his story echoes an old and well-established fact: God’s faithfulness never ceases for those who count Him faithful to heed His call. (1Thess 5:24).

Apostle-Elder Ofori was called to the ministry in 1964 right after college. Although his father was fiercely opposed to his becoming a minister, he stood firm and by God’s grace rode out all the obstacles and difficulties Satan put in his way.

After a period of time spent in fasting, prayer and the preaching of the word, Elder founded a Pentecostal church called Christ Holy Church in 1967.

Two years later, he came into contact with the late Elder Garver C. Gray, chairman of the Association of 7 th Day Pentecostal Assemblies in the United States . Through his studies with Elder Gray, Elder Ofori became convinced of the Sabbath truth as well as the continued relevance of God’s commandments in the New Testament. (1 Cor. 7:19).

In 1970, Elder Ofori entered into affiliation with Elder Gray and changed his Christ Holy Church to Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies In Ghana.

To gain more knowledge of the scriptures, Elder pursued further theological studies with the Israel Bible Correspondence School in 1972. In 1988, Elder G.C. Gray issued him with a non-expiry ministerial credential.

Under his leadership, the Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assemblies has seen rapid progress with many branch churches opened in different parts of the country.

A prolific writer, Elder Ofori has written numerous gospel booklets and tracts on a wide range of topics, such as the 666 ‘mark of the beast’ and the operations of the Spirit, with over 120 publications to his credit. In addition to this, he delivers weekly radio sermons on Garden City Radio (GCR) and Fox FM, both based in Kumasi .

His ministry is one that continues to make a positive impact on the lives of many precious souls. Apostle Ofori has mightily been used by the Lord to heal the sick, set the oppressed free and reach the perishing with the gospel of salvation. His is a ministry where God’s power is viewed as a practical resource to be utilized in meeting practical needs—a ministry whose members live out the divine promises of healing and of spiritual and material blessings literally!

Elder, a father of four grown-up children, is married to Sis. Grace Ofori. His interests range from songwriting (most 7th Day Pentecostal songs were composed by him) to farming.

His current plans include a vision to embark on a major evangelization drive in the West African sub-region and even beyond, with a mission already started in the Republic of Benin . He marches on in the work!
